Audio Video Interiors Article - Best Home theatre
The client of this stunning theatre wanted serious sound with great video and turned to Electronics Design Group of Piscataway, New Jersey for help. Located in the lower level of the home, the 15 x 22-foot space had to accommodate eight theatre seats and the client wanted an area at the back for a counter and bar stools.
Electronics Design Group designed the seating layout so that all viewers could comfortably enjoy-the show and selected soft fabric reclining chairs by Acoustic Smart, arranged in two levels of four seats each. The back level accommodates the bar counter and three comfortable swivel stools, and the space was treated with staggered stud construction and Acoustic Smart's sound absorption system integrated into the millwork. A 110-inch Stewart Wide Screen was the perfect size image for the cozy room and a Sony DSOHTU CRT was selected for the video projector. Source components like the lexicon MC-I and surround sound speakers from Genelec deliver a superb video and audio experience.
Of course, a home theatre is no fun if you need a degree in rocket science to use it. For ease of operation, Electronics Design
Group integrated an AMX Viewpoint control system that helps even a visitor to operate the theatre system by simply touching menu items and icons. In addition, a six-zone Lutron GRAFIK Eye handles the lighting control. For their constantly growing collection of movies, EDG incorporated a Sony 30 I Disc DVD Jukebox, and other source components include a Karaoke Player, Game Systems (Sony PS2, X-Box) and CD changer. All of this equipment is neatly integrated into a Middle Atlantic AX-S Rack system.
According to the Electronics Design Group, the clients love to demonstrate their system to family and friends and watch their jaws drop when they experience the superb picture and hear the fabulous theatre sound around them.
